The Herb Garden introduces people to an ancient gardening method using plants well known for culinary, landscaping and crafting purposes. Traditional herb gardens are well designed and the Master Gardener Herb Garden is no exception. It is a welcoming garden to all, including bees, butterflies and birds. There is also a trial area for herbs, in conjunction with Texas A & M, where varieties are grown and details such as hardiness, vigor and flavor are documented and turned in for future horticultural use.
The Herb Garden Master Gardeners also have a partnership with Conroe High School’s Culinary School, where garden beds are planted with fresh herbs and the students have the ability to pick and use the herbs in their cooking.
