Poor soil? No soil? No problem.
Come hear Michael Bodman, Montgomery County Master Gardener speak about soil free gardening.
This class focuses on growing plants in water, that is, soil-less gardening. We will cover eight different systems for growing plants, the three main sources of nutrients, guidance and plans for building the systems, and the basic tools for diagnosing fish and plant ailments. Also, you will be introduced to vermiculture (worm farming). As time and weather permit, there will be a tour of the Aquaponics area of the Montgomery County Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens.
Please call the Master Gardener Help Desk with any questions at (936) 539-7824 (Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – Noon and 1:00 – 5:00 pm).
