Gardening Class – “Gardening in Containers”

Come hear Montgomery County Master Gardener, Rick Kirk speak about successfully gardening in containers. Rick is an avid container gardener who has converted the majority of his back yard gardens into containers.

The class will cover the following:

· Why garden in containers?

· What to consider and how to plan

· Basic plant needs

· Soil – what to use, how to build your own

· Water – when, where, how and how much

· Fertilizer – how and how much

· What to grow – how to decide

· Planting “A Container in Six Easy Steps”

· What you may expect to get for your effort
